Terms and Conditions

By booking or paying for driving lessons with Robert Gregory Driving School, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Lesson Type

All driving lessons provided by Robert Gregory Driving School are conducted in automatic transmission vehicles only.

Lesson Bookings & Payments

• Lessons must be paid at least 48 hours before the scheduled start time to be considered booked.
• Any lesson not paid for within this timeframe may be offered to another pupil without notice.
• Lessons are not fully booked until payment has been received in full.
• By sending payment, the pupil confirms they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions.

Cancellations

• A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a lesson.
• Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full.

Block Bookings

• Block bookings must be paid in full before the first lesson.
• Any discount applied to a block booking will be deducted from the final lesson of the block.

Intensive Driving Courses

• Intensive courses are offered as a separate lesson category.
• Intensive courses do not include:
  • The DVSA practical driving test fee
  • Time for sitting the practical driving test
• A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking.
• The remaining balance must be paid at least 7 days before the course start date.

Driving Tests

• Driving tests may only be booked with the prior agreement of both the instructor and pupil.
• If the instructor books a test on the pupil’s behalf, the DVSA test fee must be paid within 24 hours of booking.
• Pupils booking their own test must:
  • Use instructor number provided once lessons begin
  • Only book test dates agreed in advance with the instructor
• Use of the instructor’s vehicle for a driving test is at the instructor’s discretion.

Instruction & Conduct

• The instructor will endeavour to teach the pupil correct driving skills in line with the DVSA recommended syllabus.
• The instructor reserves the right to arrange lessons at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances.
• Lessons will not proceed if the pupil is believed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs; the full lesson fee will still be charged.

Refunds & Prepaid Lessons

• Refunds for prepaid lessons are calculated at the full single-lesson rate.
• A £10 administration fee will be deducted from any refunded balance.
• All prepaid lessons must be used within six months of payment, unless a written extension is agreed.

Liability

• The instructor accepts no liability for accidents, injury, or damage caused by pupil recklessness or negligence.
• The pupil accepts responsibility for any penalties under the Road Traffic Acts while driving.

Vehicle Care & Charges

• A £70 soiling charge applies if the vehicle is deliberately soiled.
• Late payments may incur a £10 collection fee.

Dash Cam Usage

• The training vehicle may be fitted with dash cameras recording video and audio for safety, training, and insurance purposes.
• By commencing lessons, pupils consent to being recorded during lessons.

Media Consent

• Photographs may be taken during lessons, on test days, or after successful test results.
• These images may be used for social media or website promotion.
• Pupils may opt out by requesting this in writing.

Complaints

• Any complaints will be handled in accordance with the ADI Code of Practice.

Agreement

By booking lessons or making payment, the pupil confirms acceptance of all terms and conditions listed above.
